A diverse group of talented female voices from across Europe have come together for H24, a series produced by ARTE that poignantly addresses the everyday brutality experienced by women. 

The screening will take place on International Women's Day at the Arlequin Cinema and will be followed by a conversation in English between contributing producers Justine Henochsberg and Julie Guesnon Amarante.

Columbia Global Centers | Paris concludes its celebration of Black History Month 2022 with a special screening of an original documentary film on Eugene Bullard – boxer, artist, jazzman, and the first African American fighter pilot during World War I. The film will be followed by a Q&A with the director, Claude Ribbe. Both the film and discussion will be in French.

Paris Was a Woman focuses on female literary, visual, and performing artists of the 20th century who are often forgotten in the historical record. This walk concentrates on the women who frequented Montparnasse and the neighboring Luxembourg Gardens, including Gertrude Stein, Josephine Baker, and Simone de Beauvoir. The tour will be led in English by Dr. Monique Y. Wells.

Jacques Schiffrin: A Publisher in Exile

Author Amos Reichman and SIPA lecturer Anya Schiffrin will be in conversation about Reichman's biography of French book publisher Jacques Schiffrin (1892 – 1950). After having launched the Pléiade Collection in 1932, he was exiled to New York in 1941, where he thus began helping the founders of Pantheon Books. Reichman and Schiffrin will discuss French culture between the wars, the generation of exiled publishers, and the links between New York and Paris. This event will be held in English.
